Jorge Benitez Herrera is the Quality Manager at Klondike Welding Ltd., overseeing all aspects of welding inspection, testing, and quality assurance. He is a certified Level 2 Welding Inspector under CSA W178.2 for Visual Testing (VT). In addition, Jorge holds CAN/CGSB 48.9712 Level 2 certifications in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), as well as a Level 1 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).

Before joining Klondike Welding, Jorge spent six years inspecting cranes and heavy equipment, gaining valuable experience in identifying defects in critical load-bearing components. This practical, safety-first background enhances his ability to assess structural steel work with accuracy and consistency.

At Klondike Welding, Jorge is responsible for certified quality control reports and oversees both shop and field inspections. Every weld leaving our facility is reviewed and approved by Jorge, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and a consistent standard of excellence. His work is conducted under the CSA W178.2 and NRCAN’s Code of Ethics, ensuring impartial and unbiased inspection reporting on all projects.
