Brian Kennedy is the Structural Engineer at Klondike Welding Ltd., bringing decades of experience in structural design, steel connection engineering, and capital project management. He holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed in 1997.
Brian began his career at BPTEC Engineering in Edmonton, where he advanced to the role of Director in 2006, a position he held until 2024 before joining the Klondike Welding team. His time as Director provided him with deep insight into the design, coordination, and execution of major capital projects—expertise he now applies directly to Klondike’s engineering division.
Brian works closely with our fabrication and erection teams to ensure structural designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and optimized for constructability. He also supports both internal and external engineering efforts, helping drive value engineering and practical solutions across a wide range of projects.
Over the course of his career, Brian has designed a few of the Yukon’s most significant buildings, including the Francophone School, Whistle Bend Elementary School, and the Health Care Complex in Old Crow. His technical knowledge and collaborative approach make him an integral part of delivering complex projects effectively
